Recording with Garageband...

Okay so our my death metal band wants to do some recording. I have a Yamaha MG16/4 Mixing Console, a drum mic kit, Garageband, and a Mac Mini. I basically need to know anything and everything that could help me as I am just starting out. I want to be able to get a clear sound from the drums and a powerful but clear hit on the bass drum. And how should I go about recording the guitars?

Guitar amp cabinet question

I'd like suggestions for a guitar amp extension speaker cabinet that I could use to isolate my Matchless Hurricane (15 amp) or Fender Blues Jr. (after adding a speaker out jack). I'd be using it for jazz, folk, county, and blues right now. This would be used primarily for recording so I'd like it to be a single speaker and either have no grille cloth or a removable grille.

M-Audio Delta 1010 question

Ok, so It has 2 XLR and 6 RCA inputs(3 pairs). Is there any way to record 8 mics simultaneously into different tracks in software? My question is more about getting the 6 mics to go into the 6 RCA inputs separately. I don't know if I need another device or preamp or whatever in between the mics and the inputs. Or something like a mixer in which you can route certain channels into rca outputs.

question about headphone output

i have a friend who is using a cheapo keyboard that has only a output in headphone output form that he would normally use to play in silence but he recently started using it to connect directly to his pc for recording in Audacity my question is how good of qualility is that really for him?you know its just one headphone hole, should he upgrade like i think?
