Hope this isn't in the wrong forum. For me, I have only been recording for about 4 years, but in that time I have learned so much that helps me not only get better results, but get them faster. When I say "studio" I mean my firepod, fruity loops, adobe audition, and my RODE NT2-A. Here's my list...

#1 - The studio is NOT real!

I'm trying to record bassguitar in Sonar 8, but get a strange noise in the recordings.. Sounds as if the speakers are blown (i know this is not the case..) i've checked all the wiring and adjustments so there's no overdrive or distortion or bad cables or anything.

Has anyone had their MIDI I/O set up in a rack across the room from their computer (which is in a separate machine room) and use USB out of the back of the interface to a USB/Ethernet converter and then ran the ethernet through the floor/wall to an Ethernet/USB converter and then into their USB port on their computer?

Its pricy ( 13,305.00) but looks like it has everything one would want in a high-endconverter. Take those Cubase or Sonar DAW systems to a new level.
