how does adobe audition 1.5 stack up against say 2.0 or 3.0, I'm looking to upgrade but if there isn't that much of a difference, and Pro Tools requires additional hardware, would anyone suggest a certain recording program over another?

i just bought a eurorack ubb 1002 mixer to use as a interface on my pc, but there are no usb inputs, so if there are no inputs is this possible?..if it is possible how and what kinda jacks/cords do i need?
my pc only has regular jacks

I'm running Pro Tools HD 2, 7.4. My MIDI I/O has been really finicky as of late and will not sync up when I open Pro Tools. I'm going to head down there soon to try and troubleshoot the damn thing but I thought I'd ask around here first to try and get some idea on where to start or if anyone has any knowledge of this happening to them. Thanks!

I don't have a mac, so Garageband may not be in the cards for me. I've been hearing good things about Mixcraft, so I just wanted to see how it stacks up.

Then I spose I just need a midi keyboard and someway to plug my guitar and keyboard in, correct? Like a preamp or something?

Anyone out there currently using this interface with Cubase 4.5.2?

Looking for any opinion on the Steinberg controller or the Mackie controller or any other real world controllers that you use that work well or don't work well with Cubase 4.5.2.

I'm totally new to all of this. I have 2 Sennhauser E609 mics on my Marshall cabinet and they are running through a Lexicon Lambda into a USB input on my computer. I am using Cakewalk Sonar 7 for my recordings. I have a nice tube amp that I use and high-endguitars but my recordings sound very digital compared to what is actually coming aout of my cabinet. What is the problem?

I recently received some field recordings done with some sort of Sony digital 'walkman' style recorder. They sound FANTASTIC.

I've worked with Live before with my old band, and we got some really decent sounding home recordings from it.

I'm planning on upgrading from PT24 mix to PT192 HD next year. In the mean time, I will be using Sonar for some apps.

Could I use the 192 HD I/O as the interface for Sonar in the mean time?
