i recently picked up a mixer that does not have any schematics and there are probably none of these in north america however id like someone to look at it and give me their best guess if this was some aftermarket mod, cause it sort of looks like one to me i am the direct cause of the problem as well .

I was telling Dave Hawk ( dvdhawk ) this weekend about one of my wishes. And that is that I wish I had the talent, knowledge and ability to design and build gear, ya know, boutique type stuff like opto and tube compressors, EQ'S, mics, guitar amps, ...

Can anyone help me with some pros and cons comparing these two programs?

I have a client that I have been struggling with finding the correct mic for. He has a really sharp s sound so any of my condensers where out of the question the minute I heard his rap vocals. Here is an example of a song he recorded using an AKG c3000 and I mixed and mastered. (he is the fist rapper)
 

Most stereo synths, samplers and keyboard and rack module versions seem to have a inherent problem.

Audio noob here and I've been looking at the dbx 286s as a potential option for a microphone preamp. I like that it includes an expander/gate. I was also looking at the ART Digital MPA-II (not exactly sure what A/D conversion is exactly)...

I just got my matched cardioid pair ! I haven't done any serious work with them yet. I did however, do a quik setup and record to tape of my acoustic guitar. I did use them as a spaced pair. I bought these specifically for recording my acoustic guitar. These are some extremely sensitive mics. Wow.

First post here :).

I am jamming with some friends once a week and we are recording the session using the Zoom H1 recorder.
The studio owner has the option to record in different channels, but we are only playing for fun so we want to save the extra $$ on having the studio to record us.

I made a big mistake and wiped my hard drive clean where Izotope Iris worked properly because I bought a M.2 drive which I put W10 on but it wouldn't boot up until I removed W10 from my other drives.
