Ive got a piece of recording sync gear (to sync pc recording software to outboard recording units) that I haven't used in a while. Welp, I went and wired it all in, and then went to install the software to make it all work.. WHAT.. Where did that software go... I cant find it ANYWHERE!

I'm using a Behringer Mixer Xenyx 1222FX. I have to connect the Main Outputs of the mixer to the unbalanced line-in of a Dolby stereo amplifier which uses 2 RCA connectors. In order to make the correct wirings (balanced XLR -> unbalanced RCA), I have to know if the output stage of the mixer uses:
transformers,

I'm still debating on which recording program I should get for my PC..

Are there any huge differences in these two cards in terms of quality? Anyone out there used both? Opinions?

I currently have Behringer headphones that I use for monitoring. The problem is they don't trap the sound very well and leak into the mix when I'm recording. I want a good pair for strictly recording with. Something that will trap the sound and not show up on the mix. Something that would have a tight fit. Anyone have a suggestion?

I am in need of a couple DI's for my studio. I just want one so that guitarists can plugin to it, use thier own sound that they want, and I can have a clean version of the track too. THat IS what these are for right? So now that I'm looking at them, and I never really had before, I'm realizing I dont know anything about them.

I just moved my studio downstairs into a room that's temperature usually is pretty low. I would say around 55-60 degrees. I have noticed that my system has been overloading much more then before. I noticed the external hard drive is cold in temperature when I feel it. Could that be causing my system to overload?

Does it make a big difference? I have an macbook but can only have 2 gigs of ram. That is the max the laptop can have. I have a 250gig 7500 rpm hard drive. I am running Logic 7, synthogy piano, and want to buy ocean way drums but scared as my system already gets overloaded sometimes. If I buy a 10,000 rpm hard drive will it solve my problems or will it not make a significant difference?

I'm wondering if anyone here is familiar with good acoustic space/venue in the Baltimore area? Looking for a nice, affordable acoustic space to record a violin & piano project, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
