Anyone familiar with "Eco-Core" acoustic insulation?
"...a blend of recycled cellulose, paper and cotton. This material has extremely comparable sound absorption at mid to high frequencies and superior absorption at low frequencies, when compare with traditional fiberglass based cores."
Free-standing gobos, 3" - open back or closed?
I'm designing some gobo panels, each about 3' x 7', containing 3" of Roxul Safe-n-Sound. I will join them in pairs with hinges.
I'm wondering if I should fabric both sides, or put a hardboard backer on the back?
Suggestions for treating this room?
I was wondering if anyone could offer advice to treat this room to record spoken dialogue:

I'm hoping to record people at the table.
The room is roughly 23'x23' with a 98" ceiling.
The floor is fake wood laminate.
There is a popcorn ceiling.

Improving acoustics for cello
I spent last summer working on a basement studio (installing a new ceiling of layers of think drywall on hat channel, making bass traps, and other treatment.) The space is now a quiet place to practice and record but it is too dead for my liking.

Ideal drywall setup for drum room?
Hi all,
I'm building a drum studio in my garden. It is purpose built, and completely detached from any other building. I have a double stud construction already in position, formatted to make a two-leaf assembly. I will have outer, external layer, insulation, air-gap (1 inch), insulation, inner board, and it's the inner board I'm asking about.
