Recording acoustic guitar tuned down one full step
I find that my vocal range tends to work better when I tune my guitar down one full step from standard and start writing songs from here.
Obvioulsy, I'm worried about tuning issues and lack of string tension when I go to record.
Is there a possible way of making a guitar tuned down a full step have the same tension as strings tuned to standard pitch?
Good acoustic guitars under £200?
I recently realised I don't have a decent acoustic guitar so it's time I got one. I don't really wanna go over £200 ($390). I don't want a very big guitar neither.

noob question on acoustic guitar efx
Just wondering what kind of effects most of you use to create different sounds? New to all this and just trying to get some ideas. I listen a lot to will ackerman, and i love his recordings.

Decent PA setup for sax, vocals, acoustic guitar, and music
Well, I'm sick of waiting for a band to come together, so I think I'm going to rely on some tracks in the meantime. What I was thinking about is getting the 1u rack mixer Rolls RM65, an effects processor probably a Lexicon MX200 or maybe a Digitech GNX4, and possibly a JBL EON G2 15".

holy shnikeys how to get acoustic guitar sounding right...
Okay i have been trying to get a nice full acoustic sound and was wondering what most pro studios use to mic acoustics. I was just eating dinner and heard that green day song "time of your life" or whatever its titled. I think the acoustic on that track sounds great. Any idea what they would have used? Right now the 3 mics I have to use are:
Acoustic Guitar Recording on a miniscule budget
I'll start by saying I have no prior recording experience of any instrument. I've read up on recording an acoustic guitar and have come across a variety of different views. I'm not fussy about sound quality (and I have no right to be with my budget :D); all I want is an end-product that the majority of people would have no problem listening to in terms of sound quality.
recording acoustic guitar outriggers
Some people record acoustic guitar with a X/Y (or M/S) stereo-pair plus closeup outriggers.
Any suggestions
mics (outriggers) : omni or card ?
mics: placement ?
mixing ?
phase problems ?
more links ?

acoustic guitar, MS-miking, doubled?
Greetings all, I have a question about MS techniques. I've been recording for many years but I've never experimented with this technique as I've never owned a mic with a fig-8 pattern.
I'll be recording acoustic guitar in the context of a rock band. A lot of the rhythms are up tempo, strummy, driving rhythms and work well when doubled.
