I just purchased an 001 and Digimax to run on a G4-466 w/256 primarily for its editing and mixing capabilities.

After searching DUC, RO, Goggle and RAP, I still have not been able to determine if it's possible to sync my two XT20's and one XT to run with 001.

Hi I just purchased this unit used and it doesn't seem to be working properly. The person I bought it from said they would take it back so thats not the problem. The problem is that I can't get a digital signal into or out of the adc. The ADAT optical seems to be broken. I should note that at no time has there ever been light coming out of the toslink cable.

Can anyone answer me this? If yes, what kind of "protocol" is used for 96K on those MOTU Interfaces, those RME Multiface, and all the 96K converters around?

I have lots of outboard gear and don't want to stop using all of it. Great River, VMP-2, Cranesong, Lexicon, RNC's, etc. Have a 24 channel Mackie that could stay or go.
I would like to record either DAW or computer. Problem is, after reading 'till my eyes bleed, I'm not much closer than I was. Need 24 to 32 channels of digital with use of plugins editing, and etc.

I have a PC based setup with an Event Gina (20 bit) that sounds great for what it is. Good outboard helps me get good results with it. I recently upgraded to a Yamaha AW4416 to get away from the PC, to be more mobile, and get a better mixer, among other things.

Anyone know where I can get a copy of the
ADAT optical specification. I'm hearing lots
of "spec"ulation, but can't seem to locate
an actual document (or someones reverse engineered version). Any help appreciated!

I run an "ADAT Studio" in a rural area (away from the music hotspots so we don't get to compare notes with many other studios). We use a lot of the same gear as most of the "World Class" studio's do.

I need plain, remedial instructions on how to sync a Korg Trinity sequencer to XT20's thru a BRC.

We need to break out individual tracks of the sequencer and transfer them to the ADATS.

Also, may need to have the Trinity play back in sync with the ADATS during mixdown.
