Digital Console Input Needed
I am starting to get frustrated at how few decent analog consoles one can buy for $2000. I've been outbid on eBay for a Ghost and an A&H GS3 and I'm not sure I want to make a deal with the Mackie 8 Bus devil yet.

Sound Workshop 1600
I am currently restoring a Sound Workshop 1600 console for
my home studio. Anyone with any info on these would be a
big help. We have started a page of pics for the project. This
console has laid around my barn for 6 years. It's been very
hard to find any info on. Any help would be appreciated.

Live recordings/ console or splitter?
I am opening a cafe_coffee shop that will feature music on the weekends. I have purchased an mx2424 and plan to use the direct outs on a Midas venice to feed the recorder. There are 2 rooms that will be used for recording. One room is larger than the other and both have venice consoles...320 and 240 respectively (all recordings are live).

Anyone using Allen+Heath GL2200 as a studio console?
Hi all,
I'm looking to upgrade my system soon. I've got 16 channels of instrument/mic sources, an 8-track DAW interface and four 2-track recording devices (Otari MX5050-BII, DV interface, VCR and cassette) I want to be able to plug all those into one place and pretty much never have to rewire anything.

How does the old Soundcraft Spirit STUDIO sound?
In my quest for a cheap but decent mixer I came across an old
Soundcraft Spirit Studio for about $600 US at a local store.
It's bigger than I need but how does it sound?
Small console - Big sound ?
I'm looking into replacing my current DDA-console in my production studio. I need something compact since space is an issue but I don't want to compromise in sound, at all. I also do more and more final mixes in my studio (although it's mainly for production) so I'd like to bring up the quality as high as possible.

Neotek Elite Console...
So I was looking at this really yummy pre-loved Neotek Elite for around $16k, checking my bank balance,...then making some credit enquiries lol, envisioning the freak-out session that would happen when my woman finds out what I've just bought for $16k...when I really got serious, I started *thinking*. .

Consoles for recording
I've been told that instead of buying a sound card for recording with good audio quality, I should get a console (no matter how many tracks) since they've got noise filters and things like that. is that so? could I still rely on an onboard simple card?

Latency Free Monitoring with Console. How?
I've heard of people avoiding latency problems during overdubbing by using an outboard mixer for input monitoring.
