Low End microphone suggestions for CLASSICAL music
I'm a classical composer and I'm putting together my own recording setup to archive my own works. The recordings do not need to be "professional level" -- this is for my own personal portfolio, not for any kind of wide distribution. I don't have a ton of money to budget, I was thinking maybe $300-400USD total for 2 mics that I could use for simple stereo recording.
classical piano recording - mic choices
I'm planning to record my demo CD at school's practice room with baby grand Steinway. The repertoire is just classical piano, such as mozart, beethoven, schumann, brahms, and rachmaninoff. I'll record it with a field recorder H4n. Now i still need to get a good mic (or a pair?) From my research, it seems that some good choices include: Oktava MK-012, Shure SM57, and NT55...

Capturing Classical Solo Harp
I'm a student at my local college, pursuing an audio engineering degree, and I'm finally in my capstone course, and one of the requirements for our portfolio is capturing a solo instrument along the lines of our chosen specialties.
I'm specializing in classical music, and I'd like to record a solo harp, but I've never mic'd one up before. Here's what I have to work with:

Recording duo cello and piano/classical music
Hi!
I'm completely new to the audio recording and I am asking for some advice.
I'm planning to record classical piano with cello (Schubert Arpeggione Sonata).
I have tree mics: RODE NT55 matched pair and Audio-Technica AT2050.
Everything goes to my laptop via Fast Track Ultra.
Software and computer for classical composing
The Software:
So I'd like to stick to PC if possible because my brother works for Microsoft and I get Microsoft software for 90% off. So, from what I've read. The pc standard mixing software is acid pro. In acid pro can I compose classical music via notation? Does acid pro have the ability to provide me with decent quality synths (strings, brass, winds, piano, etc)?
Classical voice on low budget
In the next few weeks, I'll be doing a combo video/audio recording of myself singing opera arias with grand piano accompaniment. The room is an open choir room with nice but not excessive reverb.

Microphones for live recording of classical chamber music concert ?
My chamber music group (violin, viola, cello and piano) will perform in several cities, and we would like to bring portable equipment to these concerts in order to record these performances for archival purposes. If we bring a Mackie 802-VLZ3, what mid-priced microphones would work best in our particular case, and should we go for the ORTF, or a different positioning system ?
