Help on recording tips/tools for classical flute
I'm new to recording and could use some some help on tips or tools to improve my flute recording. Currently using a Apogee Mic+ on a mic stand hang away/above about 2 feet from the performer; can't seem to get better lows or capture reverb well recording the flute, maybe I'm adding too much gain on mic.
Here is the last recording I did, any tips would be greatly appreciated:

As a photographer, filmmaker, lifelong audio enthusiast, and beginner sound recorder, I'm glad to have found this website to research, ask for, and perhaps sometime, offer advice for the art of recording.
microphones to record classical guitar at home
Now I use Zoom H4n with the in-built microphones to record classical guitar at home. I use it as audio interface to record to Audacity, or record to SD and then import it to PC. Here is a recording example:

A friend of mine is going to let me record my classical guitar in a special place at his house. He created a CMU masonry block castle 40’ tall. The castle at the bottom is 8’ diameter. He cut a door into the bottom and you can go into the belly of the castle.

best set-up for recording classical concerts
Hello All,
I work for a university putting on classical concerts. They have just built a lovely 500 seater hall for the concerts, the room is great (imagine a nice modern classical music concert hall) with a fancy new 24 channel digital mixer in the control booth.
