One of the guys posted an article on One of the other forums on how they recorded and mixed the Lead Vocals at Motown.They would use two tracks one compressed and one with just reverb i think.Anyway if you want the article I have it .And will only charge 20 bucks ---oh just kidding-- email me and ill send it to you.

Aside from the poorer tracking capabilities, can I get a free or very cheap compressor plugin that will function as well as a $100-200 outboard compressor? I'll be using the compressor on vocals and acoustic guitar.

With the low Dollar American products are very good value at the moment. I'm looking for a nice characterful compressor to add to my collectionand this one has been recommended, (Albeit by the importer!). Anyone know anything good or bad? 8)

I really want a Vari mu I have used it and I love it, However it is expensive (heaven dont come chip) and so I wonder If I can save some money and get something else. What about AMEK 9098?
MOST IMPORTANT: I need something that I can use on the 2-bus as well as single channels.
