will my comp work with PT Le?
I'm just stepping into the realm of digital recording...so it's great to find a resource like this--great work!
I am planning on purchasing an Mbox with Pro Tools Le, and would like any input on whether my current computer will work well with it. As far as I could see, it meets all the specs necessary...but would appreciate any further input or suggestions. Here is what I've got:

when u use PRE/POST - EQ/COMPRESSOR?
hello,
i use ART Pro Channel (channel strip) quite often in my studio setup.
i've noticed that EQ section is after (POST) Compressor section.
it means that i EQing the signal already compressed.
as i know it's better to put the compressor as the LAST in the signal path.

preamp compressor/mixer signal path
Hi Everyone,
I just bought a Drawmer 1960 pre/comp, and I have a few questions about how I should hook it up.
I want to run a couple of Neumann TLM 170s through it to record Vocals and/or acoustic Guitar.
I have a Soundtracks Topaz 24 channel desk and I'm running into a MOTU interface and with 24 bit analog inputs.

2nd comp after Gyratec X for levelling purposes
I'm looking for a 2nd compressor to put in my chain after my Gyraf Gyratec X Vari-Mu.
I use the Vari-Mu for warmth, mix-glue, and 2-3dB of compression.
VEQc2000
Hi,
I have some simple but fairly good quality recording equipment at home and also a P.A. which is used largely for vocals at small band shows.
I am not a professional recorder but I am a professional musician and I know the benefit of spending more money to get good quality gear.

High-End Compressor
I'm in the market for a 2-channel compressor, preferably stereo-linkable... I'm a sucker for the tubey sound, but am open to suggestions...
I have been looking at the Drawmer stuff... the ts2d tubescreamer looks cool, but I have pretty good industry contacts and can get a 1968 mercenary for $1350 and can get similar hookups from other gear vendors (sorry to gloat )

Mastering compressor: color vs. . transparent?
Hi guys. I read a while back about you guys using two compressors when mastering. A "colored" comp to add some flavor to the mix and then a Clean compressor to level everything out. Im just curiouse which compressors do you consider right for this type of jobs. Mention some brands and in what category would they fall ?
