Connecting TC Helicon VoiceWorks to preamp

i stopped by guitar center today to ask them how to set up my tc helicon and this is what they've told me;

use a 1/4 cable wire and connect that from the line input of the tc helicon into the line input of the preamp. connect a dual 1/4 cable wire into the balanced outputs (LEFT/Right) of the tc helicon and into the PreSonus firebox audio interface 3 / 4.

Anyone using Ableton Live 7? Problems connecting Alesis usb

So this is a whole new side of audio to me. I've been loaned a brand new Alesis pad from an endorsee who wants me to be his programmer, problem is I have never worked with midi on my own or anything like this in my life. Now I'm already failing at making this pad work with Ableton. The pad is plugged in and was installed successfully.

Am I connecting all of this right?

WICKED NOOB QUESTION HERE! (but I'm not afraid) :D

So, I picked up a Great River ME-1NV and want to get it running..have to go through the Apogee Duet though to get to the iMac, so here's what I've been through...

The Duet had two XLR connections and two Instrument (1/4"). You can run the XLRs as:

1) XLR
2) XLR line level +4db
3) XLR line leve -10db

Connecting a keyboard to Reason via firepod

OK, so, I have macbook, a firepod, a Yamaha P-140 stage piano, and reason 3.0. My goal is to use the keyboard in reason by running a midi cable from the midi out on the piano to the midi in on the firepod. For some reason, this is not working. Does anyone have any experience hooking up midi devices to Reason? Or using the midi input on the firepod?
