Sound delays (latency) with midi interfaces

Hello everyone,
i have a midi keyboard, the M audio keystation 49e. I'm using it with Cubase SX on a vista computer. the keystation is working, but there is a realy bad delay on the notesreaching the computer, making it nearly impossible to record along with music on the keystation. does anyone know how i can deal with this latency problem? help would be much apprecitated,

delay question

I'm pritty new to the art of mixing. yesteday I was watching DAvid Gibson's DVD "The ART Of Mixing" - and we was talking about delay and panning.

what he sayed in the video, he had panned the sound to the left of the speaker, put delay on the sound and panned the delay to the right.

how can I do this?

I'm working on a Roland MV8800 if this can help.

Sweet'n Phantom Image/Delay Lines For Panning

Regarding Vocals, but also pertaining to other instruments.
I was reading the book Total Recording, by Dave Moulton, and he speaks of sweet'ning the phantom image using delay lines.(Center/Lead vocal with a floating image(so to speak)). As well as panning, using delay, instead of the pan function.

Pro Tools LE 7.3.1 midi delay controlling Korg Triton synth

Greetings, I am using a Power Mac G5 dual 1.8, Digi 002 console with Pro Tools L.E 7.3.1 I have my Korg Triton classic set as slave and the Digi 002 console as the master. As I press record on the Digi 002 which starts the Korg Triton to begin to play the audio into Pro Tools there is a slight delay a little off from the sync time and the song is slightly dragging..
