Hey, I have been mixing for over a year and I have run into not so much a problem but an annoyance. I mostly mix hip hop but this could apply to any genre. When I am mixing in background dubs for emphasis on key rhymes or punch lines I like to put a stereo delay on it. It gives the key lines a thick and wide feel.

Hi everyone, I just recently bought bough some equiptment to record a few songs on my computer...I have been recording on my computer for a while now, but I have 2 things that really drive me crazy about my setup that maybe you guys can help me with.

Whats the maths to work out how much delay to use someone told me to divide 60000 by the bpm can anyone help me?

ok so I'm fairly new to recording and I thought i would get peoples opinions on an awesome reverb plugin for vocals.

I've no experience with live vocal effects. I have a very soft voice and have gotten it to a satisfactory sound in recording with a doubling effect. I'm wondering what the best way is to do that live? I've done some searching and found:

How can you adjust Midi Controllers latency or something I'm running Cubase SX3, with 3gb DDRam, an Emu1820 and for some reason i get like 30ms delay or something. its really freaking me out.ç

the midi controller i got its the a Axiom 61 by M Audio. I connected it via usb (got some Delay) and via Midi Cables

Alright i've been trying to hook my guitar to the computer through my line 6 delay modeler (the green box) but have had no success. I guess i'm pretty stumped with the whole thing. There are 2 input holes and 2 output holes on the Box. I have a chord in the first hole of the input to my guitar. THen a chord in the first output to the amp.

Tonight during a session the vocalist wanted to throw in some references to a song we had just made. I'd already warmed up the 737 like they recommend in the manual and the mic was ready. We start recording, and then we noticed a slight but very noticeable delay ..

hardware, software, I dont care. But why?
The PSP 608 is quite nice as well as Ultradelayz, and the Kurzweil Mangler has some nice delays. I love delays, so what are the best in your opinoin?
