I've been working on a PC,and Pro Tools LE since 5.1, and now 10, Live tracking bands,using a 003 with a Ramsa DA7 digital mixer.

I am a newbie looking for an answer to the following question.

1.Which one will be good to go with the superb/ excellent sound quality?
Digi 003 With Universal Audio 710 Twin-Finity OR
Mbox 2 With UA 710 Twin-Finity

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I cant seem to find any info on it. I run Pro Tools 8 and I have an acoustic drum kit that I want to attach triggers to. I also have a Digi 003 and EZ drummer software. I want to use the triggers with the software. I'm a bit confused as to how to do this.

I was trying to hook up Digi003 and MOTU Traveler by using Pro Tools LE8,because I wanted to utilize 4 preamps of MOTU traveler.

I set the exact same sample rate,changed the internal setting to "Optical" in Pro Tools I/O,and used an optical cable(out from MOTU and into Digi003).

I have heard a lot of different information about this and was wondering if anybody could give me a clear answer.

After recording for 3 years with the Digi 001, moving out of my apt (& in with my girlfriend) having a kid etc etc, I am now back in business with a friend and we just purchased the Digi 003 Counsel. The sales guy sold on buying this rather the the usual rack as its hands on and now I barely have to touch a mouse a keyboard again which I think is a great plus.
