Universal Audio UAD-1 DSP card/ studiopak, anyone used it?
This card boasts some impressive sounding plugins that are modeled on some classic analog kit. It has classic compressors, cambridge EQ, channel strips, "industry standard" reverbs and a guitar processor. It has had great reviews and the plugins are supposed to be pretty close and faithful to the things they are modeled on.
EMU 1212 / Patchmix DSP question
Hey,
Is there a way to set up the output of the patchmix (line outs on EMU 1212) so that they contain only signals from my cakewalk, and not from the EMU 1212 inputs? So far, I have not been able to take the physical inputs to the EMU 1212 out of the patchmix monitor mix.
Hope that made sense... TIA
RR

Eventide Opinions: Eclipse vs. . DSP Series v. H3000
Hello,
Considering purchasing an Eventide effects unit.
Especially considering use for vocals--vocal quality, flexibility--but will use for other instruments as well. Looking for quality sounds, flexibility. And value, of course, always matters somewhat.
Opinions on :
-Eclipse vs.
-DSP 4500/7000/7500 vs.
-H3000?
Thank you.

Waves Q series x MC DSP Filterbanks
Hi
Have you guys compared these 2 nice products?
I am digging deeper into Filterbank in the following days. I am very satisfied with thier compression plugs, like CB1/2/3 and now CB4.
Some people reported that Waves Q series is better for cutting than adding .
Hope to hear it from yours
Nice week
:)

Yamaha DSP Factory & Tascam PCI-822
I have both cards installed under Windows XP in a 1.2Ghz 256MB P3 system. Using Sonar 2.0 I can record 8 simultaneous tracks on the PCI-822. I can also record 4 simultaneous tracks on the DSP Factory. But if I try to enable recording on a single channel from the "other" card the recording fails with dropout errors.

Pro Tools DSP chip 100% "allocated"
I've just spotted this after maxing out my Mix+ system with a pretty complex session. In the system usage screen, it looked like one of the DSP chips was free even though I was getting out of DSP errors. However, a mouse click on the chip resulted in it turning red and the message 100% appearing. Allocated to what? I'd normally expect to see something a bit more descriptive.
