Hi,

I have an echo Indigo I/O that I use when it's not practical to drag all of my equipment with me.

While it's on a different planet from standard laptop sound, I was wondering if there was a better quality alternative. This card has received rave reviews, but I'm not too impressed by the sound.

Have had the Layla3g for a bit over 2 weeks so far and I am curious as to what experiences others have had. I use Win2k w/ a P4 1.7m 512m ASUS mb system w/ SiS. I have had some mysterious problems w/ an output pair not outputting or whole system not outputting requiring reboot but all in all I am sassyfied. Anyone else having any Windows/PC problems w/ the new Layla3G?

As I am looking to upgrade ASAP I am amending an earlier post/thread w/ hopes of getting more responses. I hope this doesn't violate any rules on this cool site.

The crux of my inquirery is:

I own a stand alone digital multitracker, but am now interested in the Echo Indigo. I am, however, unsure of it. Their website doesn't tell me all that I want to know. It says it does come with a six foot cable with rca and 1/4" plugs. My question is, can you record with it and how, or is it just for audio playback?

I have a chance to pick up an echo darla on the cheap, I'm assuming it will be a leap ahead of the sb live I'm using, The computer is 2.6 gh with 512 ram, I'm wondering what sort of latency I might expect?
