FIREWIRE SOLO SOUND FROM LEFT SPEAKER ONLY
I JUST BOUGHT A NEW FIREWIRE SOLO, AND SOUND ONLY COMES FROM THE LEFT CHANNEL WHILE RECORDING. THIS MAKES IT VERY HARD TO HEAR YOURSELF. I'VE FIGURED OUT HOW TO RECORD IN BOTH CHANNELS BY SWITCHING MY COOL EDIT PRO RECORDING SETTINGS TO RECORD FROM LEFT CHANNEL ONLY. THIS ENABLES ME TO PLAY THE RECORDING BACK IN STEREO BUT WHILE I'M RECORDING, I ONLY GET SOUND FROM MY LEFT. SOMEONE HELP!

Mackie 1220 w/ Firewire. Expandable?
Is it possible to expand the Mackie 1220 w/Firewire's outputs? The 1220 w/Firewire has a 16 channel in, but only a 2 channel out. I was looking at the ONYX 800R. Would I still be able to multi track record with the 16 channels and also have additional outputs? Looking for at least 6 out. This is a future upgrade I'm considering and wondering if it would be cost effective and most efficient.

FCA202 F-Control Audio FireWire Interface
Anybody used one of these yet? Sounds like a cheap stereo FW input for the money.

Firewire board question
I'm considering buying a mixer board that has firewire capabilities. I currently use Cubase sx 2.0 and I have a delta 1010lt sound card. I'm looking at either the Alesis mixer or the new phonic helixboards that are now out...I've heard mixed things about both of them and I'm not sure which one to buy yet, so if anyone has any info about that, I'd really appreciate the help.

Anyone have the Onyx 1220 w/ Firewire?
Seem to be getting a loud frequency noise for like 5 seconds whenever I do a lot of activity in windows. The noise is temporary, but it's still annoying. How do I get rid of it? I know it's the onyx because it did the same thing at another studio we went to. What's going on?

How to secure firewire plug?
Hi all,
A mechanical question:
How do I secure this 4-pin firewire plug to my notebook?
It's a loose connection
And if someone touches it and it gets slightly displaced
I loose the connection between my firepod and notebook
Which I don't want to happen during a recording gig...
Cheers

Mackie Onyx 1620 W/Firewire & Cubase
Hey everyone,
I just picked up this wonderful board with the firewire card and I'm using it with cubase. Its working really good, most of the time. Im having a few very light pops every now and then on the playback, I'm not too sure if it is occurring during recording. I've adjust my latency a few times and its gotten better, but it could be better still.

Multitracking with Firewire? Possible?
I've been looking to purchase a Firewire mixer/input device for use with my computer, but it's unclear to me whether or not these devices do true simultaneous multitracking in your DAW.

Apogee AD8000 mLan Firewire
Anyone have experience with this under XP? Was considering using an AD8000 with the mLan card as a DAW front end for an XP notebook. In particular, wondering if the ASIO drivers work well (would be using with Audition 2.0).
Thanks,
Michael
