isolation for guitar amp?
OKay so my "studio" is in the basement. I was wondering about possible ways to create an isolation room for my guitar amp. It's just a Crate Palamino V16 - Does anyone create or know of any kind of plans to create a box to isolate the sound? Is this possible? Or am I crazy?

help guitars and hip hop
anyone got any advice on heavy guitars in hip hop tracks, not sure if to comp them to the extreme or be gentle and eq them into the mix, worried about pushing the track with them when drums should do that job

Time for new Guitar Tubes?
Hey Hey
So I turn up my Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 60 Watt stack and as the master volume approaches face-peeling-off volume it seems to struggle for power and the tone goes all dull and sh*ttay. Time for new tubes? It's fine at moderate volume, just as you push it harder it goes softer and weaker. Any tube recomendations? 6 years old, used-not too often.
Cheers

Bass into Guitar Amp
Serious newbie question. But I always heard that you can damage something by running a bass into a guitar amp. I want to know why? Is it only a matter of the speakers not being able to handle the bass frequencies or can you actually damage something in the head? What if I didn't turn up the amp very loud at all. I just want to see what it sounds like.
Thanks

Guitar Distortion recording attempt
Well i guess as my first post I should make an offering, i'm just hoping its a good one! This is my cover of For Whom the Bell Tolls, easy song to record. Don't have solos so just critique on the rythyme guitars would be nice, good or bad.

Direct Guitar Recording
First Post! Yeah! I'd really like to be able to go direct to mixer with my guitar and still get a metal guitar tone. The products I have been looking at are:
Sansamp TRI-AC
Sansamp GT2
Sansamp PSA 1
Hughes & Kettner Tubeman
I will be setting it up like so:

Guitar -> Line 6 Delay Modeler -> Computer
Alright i've been trying to hook my guitar to the computer through my line 6 delay modeler (the green box) but have had no success. I guess i'm pretty stumped with the whole thing. There are 2 input holes and 2 output holes on the Box. I have a chord in the first hole of the input to my guitar. THen a chord in the first output to the amp.

Techniques for Micing Acoustic Guitar
Hey. So, I've spent the better part of an hour searching the forums, but I can't seem to find much on acoustic guitars. Am I just being slightly naive in assuming that there are really techniques for Micing acoustic guitars? Or, perhaps it's very simple and not especially noteworthy? Either way, I was just wondering what people thought.

Best guitar DI for re-amping
Any recomendations?
I allready own a Little Labs red-eye box, but I lack a good neutral preamp.
Also, I don't think the red-eye is that neutral as a DI anyway.
I would like to hear of budget options too.
