However, I finally have 'cracked' into the industry and am co-producing a band. However, I'm having trouble with one significant thing.

What are some tips when recording vocals and acustic gutiar simultameously? Neither part can be overdubbed or done a second time. So basically everything would be done on the mixer. Any tips?

Okay i have been trying to get a nice full acoustic sound and was wondering what most pro studios use to mic acoustics. I gonna buy a bass guitar effect for home recording, and I haven't got a clue what to choose. all right, I dont need a effect with the most of effects, so I dont need the quantity of what it has, but a quality, what is the best for home recording to pc and mac as well. I thinking about Boss GT 6B or a Bass POD XT Pro, maybe something else

My band just recorded some songs in the studio, and we have some difficulties with mixing the guitars. The songs where we use acoustic, and clean guitars sounds really good, but the songs with overdrive/ crunch guitars sounds very muddy. This is really quite strange because the guitars sounded really open and raw while we where recording them, but they just sound tame in the mix.

Can anyone give me some tips on doubing bass tracks. My bands bass player insists on it but everytime we do it I get this awfull muddy chorused bass sound. It works great with distorted bass but anything else sucks. Is there a proper way to do this or should I just stick to the distorted sounds.

Hi, I am in the proccess of picking a good general mic for mainly vocals and some hand drums/djembe recording. I called guitar center and they were very quick to recommend the gt55 mic. I went to research the mic on the internet and found the guitar center name was in many of the same searches as "gt55". Then I find the mic is exclusively sold thru guitar center.

What's the Electric Guitar are you sing it for Recording purpose?

Somebody use a Cheap Guitar but change the Pickup for Recording...but some other guys use the Higher Range guitar for the Recording...

What about you guys?

Any Pickup Recommended for Pop Rock?
