Realistic Acoustic Guitar
Great forum - spent a long while lurking and learning a lot. Especially how to spend a lot of money on top class audio recording software. I'll stick with Cubase in the interim, thanks  Anyway, to my question:

Tube Mics on Guitar Cabinets
I just ordered a K2 today. Was wondering about other peoples experiences using a tube mic (specifically the K2) on cabinets...
Thanks

Recording guitars direct?
I am using Acid 5.0. I am currently recording direct in using a V-Amp. Do I need to keep using the v-amp, or just go dry in and add effects after it is in. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Guitar splitter
Hi there,
I seen Kurt recommend the Littlelabs Distro and such, but they are extremely expensive.
Are there any out there that are a little less money and still work half decent? Thanks!
Tom

Safely run a guitar head into my board?
This is a dumb question! How do I safely run a guitar head through my board. I'm guessing with a DI Box, but can you safely just run out of the heads main out into the line in on the board?
If I need a DI what do you advise on?

Tea kettle overtones on guitar tracks?
When recording the guitars on my band's latest CD I have noticed that there is a constant "steaming/whistling" sound on the tracks that is similar to a boiling tea kettle.
I am using an Ibanez SZ through Peavey JSX head with a Randall 2x12 with Jensens. The mic I am using is an SM57. It is going into my Behringer mixer and into my Yamaha XG sound card. I am using Sonar 3 to record.

Recommended outboard EQ for acoustic guitar
All.
Are there any outboard EQs that are recommended specifically for acoustic guitar? I'd need two channels (stereo or twin mono).
I already have the pres I need so am looking for EQ only.
LMK.
