Connecting a keyboard to Reason via firepod

OK, so, I have macbook, a firepod, a Yamaha P-140 stage piano, and reason 3.0. My goal is to use the keyboard in reason by running a midi cable from the midi out on the piano to the midi in on the firepod. For some reason, this is not working. Does anyone have any experience hooking up midi devices to Reason? Or using the midi input on the firepod?

Keyboard through fender proreverb?

the keyboard player in my band plays mostly organ parts but his keyboard sounds terrible. Nothing like the 60s bands that we are trying to sound like. Then at practice i put him through my old Pro reverb which is like a twin and it sounded so good because of the breakup. I'm just using the 1/4 out from his keyboard to the amp and was wondering is this harmful to the keyboard or amp?

Cheap Midi Keyboard as Controller?

I have a really crappy Casio midi keyboard, and I was wondering if I could use it as a controller for like... a plugin , or in my daw program, to say, turn on or off an effect or something.

I use plugins for live sound, and I have no way to change them in mid performance, and I dont have money to buy any midi controllers :p.

Anybody Know the Best Deal on a Sturdy Keyboard Stand?

I have a CME UF8 keyboard which weighs something close to 50 pounds. I am currently using a stand with it that worked great for my previous 15 pound keyboard. However, this stand rocks the keyboard when you try to play anything fancy on it. Is anybody familiar with a keyboard stand that is rock solid and doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Thanks in advance.

keyboard recording issue

Hi,
I want to record Yamaha P-80 through Lexicon Lambda connected to a laptop with Cubase LE.
1. I take stereo output from P-80 and connect to Line 1 and Line 2 of Lambda. Even on a low gain it gives terrible noise. Even when Volume level is turned off on P-80.

2. When I connect the same cable to the amp Microphone INs there is no
noise. ?
