Best pro audio PC laptop? (Rain, ADK, PC Audio Labs, MusicXPC...)

Hello!

I'm looking for the best professional ready-to-go audio workstation, a strong PC laptop... I'd like it to be ultra-compatible with music production/recording software, and audio interfaces... I'd like it to be powerful (core i5 or i7). I'd like it to be the most silent possible...

need firewire on laptop-dont have it

Ive been recording for about 9 years and use a desktop. My pc is a workhorse but I need to have mobility

Just got a quad core laptop with a ton of ram, more than capable of handling recording but they dont make laptops these days with firewire, mainly cuz its not a highly used consumer input...

I use a Focusrite saffire pro 24 channel recorder

Can I edit/manipulate the sound on a lame laptop?

I use Sony Sound Forge on Windows 7 to do the editing work after recording on a Sony PCM-D50 portable recorder.

I'm wondering if these kinds of sound manipulating softwares use internal arithmetic to edit .wav files? Does it make any differences whether I do this editing work in a studio with a professional sound card or just do it on my lame laptop with a terrible sound card?

picking a usb interface for laptop

I need a usb inteface with the following characteristics:

- usb 2.0
- at least one line input (if stereo, better, for synths) with hi-z
- at least one mic input (if it has phantom, and is xlr, better, for a condenser mic)
- a stereo output so as to route all audio when playing live to the FOH console
- it has to be low-budget (I'm in Argentina!)
