Need a contract for album liner photography - help please :D
Ok - Im releasing a CD (independently) and I want to use a contract that will allow the photographer exclusive ownership rights. So in the future if the photos are going to be used for any other purpose the photographer would negotiate with the other party involved and photographer would be reimbursed that way.
how do i void my sons record contract. he's 17 and they aren't doing anything?
My son signed a record contract in the Philippines without me. the record company shevled him because he would be competing with another artist they already invested in. he is only 17 years old. is it legal to void this contract because he is a minor? is the contract enforcable if he is only 17. I have read different opinions and everything says he should be able to change his mind.
Advice for a production contract
Ive just recently been offered a production contract and I would like to move forward with it. They've handed me a pretty general contract and want me to add or change what i want on it. Ive been looking up a lot on whats standard as far as dividing money goes but I'm still not sure how to deal with my particular situation. The deal is with 2 other performers and myself.

Starting a recording studio - legal
Hi there, my friend and I are starting a recording studio as a general partnership sometime this August hopefully. We've been in a few bands for about 10 years, as well, we've recorded many artists in a side project studio which was initially started to record our own music.

Question about contract with music library
Hi everyone,
My question: for those of you who have submitted music to music libraries, is it normal for a library to deduct a percentage from the usual payment (50/50 split of license fees) for "administrative and marketing fees"? The library I'm interested in is offering a non-exclusive contract and charges a 10% fee to the payments composers get from them.

My First Set Of Contracts
Hello! The waters of Copyright are choppy and dangerous, so I thought I would ask some third parties if I'm doing this right.
Scenario: A Singer/Songwriter has his own Publishing Company. His publishing Company has the exclusive right to grant licenses on all the songs he writes. He wants to perform/record his songs with my Record Company.

Help with Gig Contracts
I have been playing cover song gigs long enough, and have gotten screwed over enough times by promoters, venues, etc. that I have decided it would be a good decision for me to make a contract for gigs. ESPECIALLY ones that are going to be a steady weekly occurance at a particular place.

Tour agreements/contracts IMPORTANT!=)
So my band has been offered to jump on tour with another band. Our manager isn't very business smart (which doesn't give me a lot of faith in him) and wanted to just jump on the tour and make verble agreements with venues about being paid.
Well that was just silly!
