Questions about my mixer and USB interface
I already have everything set up the way I wanted for doing live performances in my home studio. Currently I have everything onto one track, so we end up doing bass seperate (for editing reasons).

Pro Tools with analog mixer and gear
Hello,
I have noticed that a lot of studios have a G5 pro tools equipement and a great analog mixer like SSL Neve or trident. Most of them are equipped with great analog preamp and comp too.
So I'm wondering how those studios use PT and analog gears?
I mean Do they first plug mics to preamp and preamp to PT, and PT to mixer? (or another path?)

PAD on mixer channels
My setup, 16 channel mixer. 6 channels going from TRS outputs to RCA inputs on my Delta 1010LT sound card.
The Delta 1010LT allows 6 RCA inputs, 2 XLR (preamp) inputs, a midi input and a S/PDIF input.

Live sound mixer/Home recording solution! (Mackie Onyx 1640)
Hey i'm currently *planning* on putting together a PA system, but I also want a little setup to lay down some tracks. I'm interested in the Mackie Onyx 1640 because of the obvious. I could use it for my PA and use the firewire card and lay down 16 tracks.
Soundcraft 200B . 8/4/2 mixer
Hey Gang,
I have an opportunity to pick up a Soundcraft 200B 8/4/2 mixer, including case tops couple hundred canadian...
Plan to use it with newly aquired P.A system, and for additional routing in my modest home set up.
Not that i'm interested in the pres on this, but are they potentially useful?
Any input would be appreciated,,

Setting up my mixer.
I'm trying to get my Yamaha mg16/4 set up to my computer for recording. All I have as far as inputs/outputs on my computer are the 1/8" outputs from my soundblaster sound card. I want to set it up so that my monitors(m-adudio pro3[yea i know, they're cheap]) go out through my mixer.

Calibrating DAW without mixer
Hi all,
I'm running a mixerless setup (straight from mic preamps to audio interface) and want to calibrate the whole system. I'm basically aiming so that I'm running the pre in it's most comfortable zone, i.e. not pushing it too hard, while aiming for peaks of -12dbfs to the converters. What is the easiest way to set this up?
