3 point mixing?
To my understanding, 3 point mixing is where less important tracks are panned hard left or hard right, and more important ones are panned dead center.
Are there pros/cons or potential road hazards I should be aware of before I try to mix a song in this manner?
I tried googling, but I didn't really find anything.
Thanks for any help!

Mid-range mixing desks query
Hello from typically rainly 'ol england.
My band mate (possibly unwisely) bought a second hand Tascam M-16 to use as our recording mixer, and got rid of his Soundcraft Ghost (one of the cheaper ones...but which i thought was a good desk) and it will cost £700 to get the Ta-scam up to scratch at our local electrical repair shop.

Drum Mixing
Ok this is my first post on this site, but I have been reading all the great info on here for a couple years now...I'm in the midst of recording my band on my Korg D16, yes I know its not the greatest, but I know how to use it very well.

Setting up for Mixing in the box….
Ok here is what my latest plan is: Sell my Mackie SDR and Mackie 24-8.
Buy 16 ADC’s and 16 Preamps, and mix in the box.
I have wrestled with this idea for a while. But I think I am finally ready to commit to the box.
I want decent ADC’s and preamps . I have a Lynx L22 and am quite happy with it.

hands-free mixing
Hi there,
This is my first post to this forum.
I'm playing the flute and usually use a simple setting: a Sennheiser mic right into an AER cube.
However, I would like to experiment with putting several mics in different places on my instrument and mixing them live while I'm playing. I might also use a looper and a few effects.

Yamaha Mixing console mg16 and Digi 003
I would like to use my Yamaha mixer for playback from the digi 003. When i hook it up to the mixer I get sound from one channel only. When i hook the digi straight to the studio monitors I get full sound out of both channels. Can any one direct me how to hook up the digi to the mixer?

Mixing help - ear fatigue
I'm fairly new to the whole recording and mixing game, been doing it for a few months now. My 'mixes' sound alright but they always just sound bad for some reason. They always seem to have some funky EQ going on that causes ear fatigue rather quickly. Harsh in the upper mid-high range I guess.
