Mixing for Stereo, some beginner questions.

Hello everyone, well here at the end of the week I set off to record my first Album.

Hopefully I've got most of my methods figured out so far, the only thing that I've been unsure about is mixing and recording for stereo.

Ok, so basically I'll be recording a three piece singer/songwritter, acoustic, vocals, drums, electric bass, maybe a lead guitar overdub track.

Audiofire mixing console

I just bought an Audiofire12 unit and it comes with the Tracktion software that is supposed to work with the Audiofire mixing console. I have managed to set up the output in the Tracktion software so the levels are showing on the Output 1-2-buses, but the 12 individual tracks are not coming over from Tracktion into individual tracks in the mixing console.

Help?

half a year worths of recording/mixing ...gone

I have been using nuendo and Cubase now for quite some while and decided yesterday to install my Pro Tools/mbox rig i got for christmas last year. Now my computer freezes everytime that i try to start nuendo or cubase. They both seem to freeze at the point where they are loading the asio drivers. And i was wondering what i could do to ?

Question about my Mixing Control

One thing that I've notice when I transfer my mix to my more intimate environment is that it begins to muff and give more mids especially around 180 - 380Hz. I'm at the moment working on turning this more intimate environment into my mixing studio (dont have the money yet) but for now, I have to do all my mixes on a second floor loft. At the moment, I have 4 Near feild monitors.
