I am tired of mixing down to the Masterlink from PTHD.

Beside the option to go with the Tascam RA-1000, I am thinking about a stereo mixing down digitally to a DAW.

What is the best setup opinion? I am thinking about Mac/Peak Pro and Lynx EAS/EBU or RME or MINI MEoption?

any suggestion?

I am planning to set up a PC which will only perform audio mixing. No recording at all except only one input of vocal sometimes. But the wav file formatted tracks in the process of mixing would be average and above 20 and at least 1 or 2 plugins effects would be applied to each track.

I've found I've got a realistic stereo image on my acoustic guitar using a simple X/Y setup. Through a hi-fi, the guitar sounds, well, about 3 feet wide, which is about what it is.

Hey there people. This is my first post. I'll start with a bit of information about myself and a question that's been festering away in my crazy skull for quite some time...

What's your favorite mixing/production software, and why? Which is the "most powerful"? Is there an industry "standard"?

I was just wondering what average db level you guys mix at.
-And- What average db level should I mix at using a Bluesky 2.1 system, about 2 feet away and at eye level?
