Adding subliminal audio messages or effects into music
Hi,
Stairway To Heaven is the most famous song I know where "here's to my sweet satan"... " was added in reverse to the song. At the least, this has increased sales because people buy the record just to hear what all the weebee jeebee buzz is about.
Adding low end bass also has an effect. Increasing certain frequencies can stimulate us in different ways.

How to record live choir with tape or CD music tracks?
Our church choir normally performs using CD music tracks. What is the best way to record them live without too much bleed from the CD tracks in monitor speakers? (These recordings would be used for archival purposes or shut-ins, not for resale purposes.) Some added info:
How to truly record/mix vocals into music properly?
I have so many questions, I don't know where to start. But I mainly want to know how should I properly "mix" or blend in the vocals with the music. I usually just record karaoke/instrumental tracks where I have the music as one track and the vocals as another. Currently, I'm using Adobe Audition. I have the music file on the first track and the vocals on the second track.

Music technology books/good online courses
I just bought myself a Firebox (w/Cubase LE) and other stuff to go with it... And I'm interested in a music technology book, either something general or something that is related to Cubase. I plan to go to school for this (I'm a senior in high school) so I was hoping I can get ahead of the game now and learn and experiment with my equipment.

mp3 to wav to CD - and no music
Hi,
I just took a bunch of mp3 files, passed them through a freeware mp3-to-wav converter and burned them to CD, hoping to be able to play them on a CD player.
I used a Maxell CD-R music 80min/700mb. The default setting for transfer rate was "maximum" and that's how I left it.

Mastering & Mixing tools for Acoustic Music
As I am just about to shell out some serious cash, I wanted to make sure I have not forgotten any options. Basically, I am looking for a compressor, an Eq and a reverb unit that would be appropriate for most of my recordings (classical, jazz and world).
