Mastering electronic music
I have had some people ask me to master synth or midi generated music. When I do it for music that has real instruments or the human voice I intuitively know that I'm making it sound better. Electronic music however leaves me confused. Other than removing hiss noise, I don't naturally know what kind of feeling the music's creator is shooting for or what adjustments will make it sound better.

stereo pair for chamber music
I am looking for a good pair of small diaphragm cardioid condensers to use professionally on small classical ensembles and solo piano. What mics would one generally use for this purpose? Right now I am looking at Neumann KM184, Earthworks SR77, AKG C451B and Elation KM201. What does everyone think of these mics for this purpose?

How to get my music out there...
I'm a rap producer - I produce instrumentals for artists to rap to.
How does one get to be a producer like for say Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland, for example. Where do you start?
Also, how do you protect against people 'biting' my beats? How do I copyright?

Holding artists music hostage in your computer!
Months ago I embarked on several projects at once then go kinda snowed under, months later I am only just now getting to the end of mixing them. It was not fair of me to keep so many projects waiting around... I really dont want to do it again.. I hope to just bang em out in future - 'wham bam, thank you mam" style!
Anyone else suffering from projects lingering in the DAW?
Critiques On Our Projects - Where does the music go?
Well, as scary as it is, I think for me to move forward in my own projects, it is about time to provide something for public consideration. Problem is, while I do have a little freebie website (click above to see), it only allows file sizes of 1 MB or less, so I've been resorting to very low quality .WMA's (no mp3's allowed either) to get the music heard by some of my online friends.
Remuneration for video games music composing
As a composer for a major video games company, i'd like to exchange views and experiences with other musicians who have been exposed to the flat fee system vs royalties/rights system.
What is your experience, what's the rule, how do you manage that, with which results : is the "no rights with the highest fee" the most common final deal?
Thanx for sharing your experiences.
