Hip-Hop Music
I'v been producing Hip-Hop for a couple of years now and have some questions that i cant seem to find anywhere so here they go:
What type of compression and how much should i use on hip hop vocals?
What type of compressors work best on both vocals and electronic drums from drum machines and keyboards?
How much reverb should be used on those same vocals?

Can anyone help an old musician with this PC recording s
I recently decided to try digital/PC recording and cannot quite get my system working properly. These are the items I have set up now. Sony VAIO PCV-RX-540(1.2ghz celeron, 256ram) with an additional Maxtor 7200rpm 80 gig hard drive added for the audio. OS is Windows XP. I am using a Tascam US-428 for the audio/midi interface. The software is the bundled Cubasis that comes with the US-428.
Progress in music computing: A quieter case thread
I've been experimenting with getting my computer to make less noise. I'll talk about the stuff I've done so far.

Im pretty experienced in music... but Cubase baffles me!
Right, ive been told that by using Reason in conjunction with Cubase i can get a lot more functionality - i dont see this at all. Cubase just does my head in!
Can someone recommend a good place to learn about the program and its functions in depth?
Produsser or musicant?
In me there are several questions:
- how it is possible to move its music?
- what mechanisms to use for etogo?(to there are questions of promotions & of produsings. )
Give we will not be try negative to relate to the musicians with the different ideology of views!
Respect!

We all know we can write and produce mp3 music so what's next?
For those that are interested in what RO could make happen, here is one company that I've been following for a few years and they aren't going away. They have awesome things planned for the pro audio world. They are equipped with the technology RO could use.
