Recording equipment for a newbie
Hey everyone. I'm looking into purchasing some recording hardware for my band. We want to be able to record our own music and get a decent quality.
My question is what hardware do we need to do this. I know we need the mics, cables, and a computer, but what do we plug the mics into to get the recording on to the computer?

Newbie recording drums!
I want to get the best sounding drum tracks I can make at home.
I'm thinking of going with Sure or Audix.
Does anyone have a suggestion of personal preference?
Thanks!

DAW vs. . portable multitracker, please help a newbie
Hi guys, new guy here.
I'm currently using a Korg D16 and I'm ready for something better to record our band. Don't need pro quality, but would obviously like to get the best I can afford. My budget is $1500~$2K.
As the title suggests, I'm torn between a new stand-alone workstation, which I'm quite comfy with, or a DAW, which I know nothing about.
Stupid newbie question... mulitracking?
I'll strat this off by saying sorry fior asking such a newb question... and I WILL search this out, I am just running late for bed (work in the AM) and figured I would throw this out.

Plug Ins for Logic Express 7 ( newbie)
Hey:
As usual, the LE7 brochure is extremely vague and I cannot find the plugins area. Here is the direct quote: "The Plug-in window can be opened by doubleclicking on the blue plugin label on an Audio Object (where?) .

Newbie
Uh...Just a newb. Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm hue and I can see that there are some people here that I will want to learn from. I come from a background when digital was still to tape. Though I've spent time in pro studios behind a decent desk, it's been a while and my chops just aren't at par anymore. Good thing I'm just a hobbyist! Anyway, I'll be pickin' brains here.

A Truly Newbie-ish question: Sending WAV files
Hello,
My apologies for the truly newbie question below:
I am trying to send some songs, in the form of wav files, to people as email attachments so that they can try their hand at mixing and mastering these.
However, the files are larger than 10mb, thus beyond the attachment limits of aol, yahoo, gmail.
CAD GXL2200/2400 & Nady SCM800 (Newbie ?'s)
This is my first post ever (Aloha from HI) and this will also be my first condenser mic purchase ever. I am on a strict budget and am trying to do as much research as possible on my 6 day a week work schedule.
I saw these two mics all over EBAY:
