Hi guys. I'm trying to recreate as faithfully as possible the sound of a real miked amp. I'm recording my guitar (Epiphone Black Beauty) direct through the instrument inputs of my Mackie Onyx 400f, and using Guitar Rig 2 as an emulator. Of course, the tone isn't the same as recording a real amp, but it sounds too "direct".

I want to augment the number of inputs on my 01v96 for live and (live)recording.

I need to buy a DAW to record e-guitar or acoustic guitar + voice directly into my PC, having to minimum latency possible to use live effects driven by software.

So which one is better? Mackie OS + Tracktion or M-Audio FW 410 + PT LE?

I took the plunge and bought an onyx 400f and I'm having problems!

The firewire is fine, great connection, sound perfect outside of my DAW world, but as soon as I launch Sonar 6.2 its all downhill.

Anyone have any feedback?

Looking to use this as my MAIN soundcard, looking for awesome sound and firewire.

Hey guys i have digi002 and i want more inputs you know to record more musicians at the same time. digi002 gives out only 4 pres so iw as wondering if i can buy Mackie ONYX 800R a suitable mic preamp amp in my budget...the thing that i wanna know and understand it says Toslink ADAT Light pipe output..wht does exactly it means.

I have a quick question about compatability and basic common sense. I have a Mackie onyx 1620, great board except the whole FW is pre eq, inserts, etc, and it has only 2 outputs.

I asked breifly in a different thread about the Mackie ONYX 1200F and got very little feedback. I'm searching for an interface so that I can track a live drum set. I'd like to be able to track between 8 and 12 channels at once. Does anyone have any experience with this unit or advise on what interface to use? I use Cubase SX and I am about to build a new computer.
