Phase problems after Processing SD2 file with TComp/EXP
Phase problems after Processing SD2 file with TComp/EXP
Hi!
I was "mastering" a Horn band album a few hours ago and then I faced this problem..
My client, the conductor, felt he conducted with a too low bpm.. yes, after almost 6 months of recording/editing/ production's day 01.
Ok, I could do the TC exp to every single track..OH My God...

Waves Linear Phase
Hi my Gurus!
Where and in which kind of projects have you guys been using linear phase eqs?
Are you fans of Weiss digital eq?
What other brands have been doing it nicely also?
What about the myth of Waves Linear Phase? some say it is a nice tool to add hi shelf, some say it sounds a little funny in the high mids...

LINEAR phase x Minimum phase
Hi folks
Seems Waves linear phase EQ is a very interesting plugin and approach. However, I have seen some pro mastering guys complaning that subtracting at the mids shall make the sound a little weird.
How do you deal with linear phase x minimum phase eq choices? Of course Hi-Q filters shall introduce a much bigger phase shift.

Understanding phase. again...
I just wanted to give everyone an update on the results of my little experiment. I found that by using varying distances you could drastically change the sound of anything safely, in a mono situation. Or, if you want to mic in stereo you can use a pair of mics for each side(4 in total l

understanding phase.
Has anyone here used multiple mic setups and placed them certain distances apart to create an intentional cancellation at a certain frequeny?
I have tried this a few times with guitars and it sounded good. I have also tried this on other instruments with some sucess. Is this concept flawed?

Waves linear phase MASTER Bundle to improve my (junior)
Hi! I have asked something similar some time ago, but here it goes again...
What about this Waves Master bundle? Is the equalizer a big leap from Q10?
Wahat about the mukltiband compression? I have seen some people comment that it does not f**k the overal balance too much as C4 and MAster X...
Question to guru Bill Roberts... phase shift, distortion
Hi friends!
I had previosly posted this issue here and at PSWbut up to now, no one had come with a very good explanation. You can talk about polos, zeroes, transfer function, delay group, phase distortion and so. I will do all that I can to understand properly this... here itgoes..
Group delay x phase shift x phase rotation
Would someone on here clarify these items on an academic syntax?
Many people mix these two terms.
Oka, a sinusoidal voltage wave source connected to a load which is Z= R +/- jX will provide a sinusoidal curent wave delayed by a certain degree amount dependent of the reactive ( passive) element on the specified load.
