Jw if anyone has tried PT 11. curious to hear some thoughts as to if they improved upon some of the prior weaknesses of the program, w/ they're new audio engine/ plugin format. i'm not in the market at all for a new DAW, just curious about the new PT.

Hey everybody! I've never posted on here before so not real sure what to expect...

I work with Pro Tools constantly in school, but am having the biggest problem trying to get PT to recognize this interface. I have a Behringer X1204 USB Mixer/Interface. My question is, is this even compatible with PT? If so, how do I go about setting it up?

I have been running Pro Tools 7 HD on a Mac G4, with the Digidesign 192 i/o, and the TDM plugins for several years. I now have a new Mac Quad-Core Intel Xeon and I now have a new core card for the 192. What version of Pro Tools can I get away with. I don't need to go to version 10. I do need to be able to record sixteen tracks at a time.

At the moment I have a simple set up of pro tools 8 on an iMac and a simple 2 track m-audio box.

Not sure exactly what the correct term is, which is probably why I can't find an answer online, but does anyone know how to trim an extremely small part of an audio file? I've tried zooming in, changing the main counter to "min:sec", "bars:beats" and then "samples"...but still, it doesn't give me that much leeway with cropping.

Recently built a computer that's pretty robust and i'm running a projectmix i/o control surface with Pro Tools 10. now, i'm pretty versed on its operation etc but the computer this one replaced used to be my old home theater pc, which had a lynxtwo b soundcard that still gets great reviews.
