Hey guys -

Just a quick question -

I'm working on PT LE 8 at the moment and need to export all of the files (audio and MIDI) so that they're all indexed to 00:00:00 and are all equal lengths in WAV, BWF or AIFF format.

Does anybody know the commands in PT LE 8 to do this?

Im getting music mastered and the M.E. told me to send him a data CD with the wav files on it. Just to be clear isn't a data CD a CD-RW?

When I tracked guitar with my band 2 weeks ago I used an sm57 & Behringer C-4. which surprisingly sounded pretty good. I was just going to use the same setup to record bass.

But I also have an Electro-Voice EL33 and an Apex 120. Would it be better to replace the sm57 with one of those?

Quick question, from what I can gather from the internets, RMS is an average of the volume. I know it means Root-Mean-Square, but can anyone elaborate? I am using Reaper, and it comes up in the output track.

Hey there.. i'm looking for a decent piece of software for recording guitar quickly. I have an ESI esui1808 18 channel usb interface and it had 2 HIz inputs.. could any body recommend some really decent software/ plugin to compliment it? i've tried toneport etc... hate it, any suggestions would be appreciated thanks :)

i recently started a studio and i have a lot of passion for it but not too much knowledge yet.

i'm trying to record guitars on my laptop. I'm using Audacity. using a mic with a 1/4 jack converted to stereo 1/8th and directly plugged into my recording jack on the computer. problem is.. when i go to record it only picks up one side of the stereo track. i'm not sure what the problem is here so if anyone can help i'd greatly appreciate it.

I've worked with Live before with my old band, and we got some really decent sounding home recordings from it.

Everything works well so far; I've got a signal and everything records fine.
