There is a used gear/ pawn store in my town who has a Digi 002 rack for $500. The problem is that he has nothing else with it. Is it worth picking up? I know that the hardware won't obvioulsy work without pro tools, but can the software be purchased seperately? Will it work? The store will guarantee the rack "no questions asked" for 30 days.Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Any suggestions for windows/PC based software for creating harmonies? I plan to use to create harmonies for vocals/background vocals based on vocal tracks in wav format. Preferably something flexible, relatively inexpensive. Thanks!

There is a software somewhere in the www that helps you planning the cables for your audio ro video studio.
Owner of this software can download graphics of the
equipment to be connected. So it is very userfriendly.
It works with ms-visio and other software.

I am a wannabe music composer. I plan to do all my songs using PC. I plan to get a M-Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard and a Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones. Later, I would get a M-Audio Oxygen 8 MIDI controller.

(Btw., please tell me which mic is good for male vocal recording: Shure SM-57? Anything cheaper than that?)

Is there any way possible to use my MBox with another program/software? I know its made for Pro Tools but is there some kind of drivers i can download or anything to make it work with another program?
