Does anyone know of a good drum machine and sequencer for piano and guitar. Hardware that is. I have a EMU 0404 card and software installed in my computer, but I keep getting crashes, so I am having a hard time trying to transfer CD's from my DAW recorder, 8 track, to my computer software, which is a Cubase software program and a Patchmix mixer.

I have used cool edit pro for years and had good results when I used a mix on my mics called somthing like "Salvador Mix" or somthing?

but when I had to reformat my computer i lost the steps in creating the mix..

so i was just woundering if anyone knew or could help me find out how to do the "Salvador Mix" on CEP again!

hi, at the moment i am using cubasis for all mixing and recording and it is poor. in the future i hope to get a mac and the most recent logic but I'm only 16 at the mo' so not yet!

just to sort of "tide me over" until then i thought i could get logic 5.5 to play around with as it is pc friendly...

I'm trying to create a small recording setup in my basement, and I'm on a very limited budget. While comparing different hardware and software, I'm having trouble finding out what is actually compatible here.

Can anyone recommend a decently priced (no more than about $150) software that can be used to make hip hop beats? Something that would have a "drum machine" and some other good stuff to use.

ok- i heard one of the veteran posters on here say that you should always chose your software first and then the platform will find itself. i think this makes sense so i am trying to decide which software would best suite my needs.

UPS should be delivering this to me tomorrow. I bought for the reputed stabilty with Cubase and the top shelf converters. I am counting on a significant upgrade from the M-Audio Quatro currently in service. The piece I am intrigued with is the total mix software. Anyone using this that could offer up some possibilities for its use? I don't know a lot about it.

Can somebody, anybody give me a good software chain for mixing vocals.
