I got a emu 0404 sound card.
with event tr8 connected.
very happy.
now - I want to record vocals - but my event are connected to the card...I need headphones...how can one connect the headphones along with the monitors to have maximum comfort.
and if a mixer is the answer - think budget wise ;)

I was wondering if someone could recemmend a PCI soundcard in the 300$ Range.I was using a firewire soundcard on my laptop and I am getting a new pc.Mostly been looking at E-mu Cards 1212M or the 0404: Kinda conserned about the soundcards running hot or incompatablity issues. Using Cubase LE at the moment.Are the 1212m or 0404 worth it or is there something better within my price range?

Well after toiling with this decision for a while I am going to make a move towards building myself a Cubase/Nuendo rig. I have already spec'd a computer (Dual CPU Dual Opteron - ooooohhh! (y) ).

My goal is to build a system that can handle up to 32 I/O's. I need some suggestions on sound cards. Most of the sound cards I have researched can only handle 16 inputs.

I am currently using an Audigy 2 Platinum and I am about to upgrade to a Delta 44. (for latency and sample rate reasons) I do like the audigy a lot for gaming though. Does anyone know if these two card will conflict id I try to use them both.. SB for gaming and M-Audio for recording?

The only thing missing from my new computer for DAW is the sound card. I need a sound card that has 4 analog inputs and a MIDI i/o. I couldn't find a card that has 4 inputs and MIDI, only cards I could find with MIDI either have less than 4 inputs, or much more and are much more expensive because of that.

I used to record using a v-amp 2 into a Creative MP3+ external sound card, into my laptop.

Today i got a Creative 24bit Live! external... plugging the v-amp2 to the sound card then into the PC.

When i play there is a slight delay, that annoying delay that you get if you use software effects for instance...

I am looking for a new sound card for around $80-$100, that has nice quality for recording acoustic and vocals. If any of the SoundBlasters are good for recording, i would prefer one of those.

I'm currently building a computer for myself due to the crazy cost of a decent DAW...anyways I need some help on choosing a soundcard for my project...first of all Im looking to run an AMD athalon 64 3700 + san diego and I want to run programs along the lines of reason...cubase...acid pro with small recording and midi support...I definitely want firewire and usb as well. any ideas?
