right now my recording signal chain is:

RODE NT1000 -> Mackie XDR preamp -> M-audio Delta 44

Since I'm not totally satisfied, I plan this upgrade:

AT4033 -> Phoenix DRS-1 -> M-audio Delta 44

Obviously the delta 44 is the weak link in the chain, but I don't know whether it really is a problem :?

Hello, I`m a norwegian neewbie, and I currently rely on a emu 404 soundcard.

But I`m considering upgrading to a firewire multitrack.

The two candidates so far is PreSonus firepod and Edirol fa101.

Now I know that the firepod is a better card but, I would be very happy to get a cheap solution, hence the edirol being half the price.

I been reading a lot of articles of how u can get signals from either the main output or sub output of the mixer to the soundcard. I do get signals but also a lot of feedback and mono sounds.

a friend of mine has a aardvark pro q10, he says its a very good card, i need suggestions if there are any other choices that lie in the budget i have.
