I'd like to upgrade my interface/soundcard and am looking for your thoughts. Bear in mind that as I'll be continuing to use a laptop so it must connect via firewire or USB rather than slotting into the motherboard.

Anyone know of a very cheap (<50 EUR) PCI soundcard, that has low ASIO latency? (<10ms) I need to use it in my mini PC for LIVE purposes...

a friend of mine have given me advice to go for EMU's 1820M
i want a studio quality soundcard, my budget is 1000$ first i was thinking of buying a MOTU 896HD but
the purpose i changed my mind is for now i might not need so many i/o's
i would want to work with a lot of soft synths
recording acoustic guitar
electric guitar
bass
keyboards

Is anyone sucsessfully using any aardvark product with an athlon 64 set up?
If so what chipset are you using?
Since aardvark is out of business I have been unable to find this info.
Perhaps I will be the first to try it.

i installed the audiophile 2496 to my pc, and it works great with my two 5' samson rubicon monitors. But, after i installed the audiophile soundcard, for some reason, when i plug my headphones to my pc, which is (my Stock Audio Card) i dont hear nothing... i cant even choose my stock (old) soundcard's drivers on Reason's Audio Preferences Drivers.. i only see the audiophile drivers.

For my productions i'm using a PC with a M-Audio 410 Firewire. Very pleased with it so far. I am having trouble understanding how the 410's control panel works though;

How must i set the mixer to make the 410 record itself?

With my old SB-Live soundcard i could select 'what you hear' in the record properties and then in i.e. Soundforge i could record everything that played.

I currently have a setup that included an M-Audio Delta 44 (4 in/0ut) soundcard. I am getting the point now though where 4 inputs is not enough.

I think I can run 2 Delta 44's in Parallel. Is this the case?

Me and my buddy are looking for a new soundcard for his Dell. the computer is soley made for recording purposes and only has acid and Sonar on it now. we want a serious soundcard for it, as we are purchasing a humongous studio mixer soon. any suggestions?
