ok so ive been recording my band for about a year now (full songs for download at ), and when i started i knew nothing about recording, nothing. so anyway, i was wondering if you guys have some suggestions about what hardware to use. I'm sure youve gotten this question a billion times but I'm going to ask anyway. ok here's what we have right now for our setup:

advide on buying stereo reel to reel? suggestions?

i'm in the market for a stereo reel-to-reel recorder. basically i just want to record drums and percussion and then bouce to my hard disk. so nothing too complicated or fancy, but i want something that sounds good. also i don't want to spend too much (less than $350) anybody got buying advice: what to buy and what to look for when buying? much thanks in advance...

I have $650 to spend on mixdown monitors. Any suggestions?

I need advice on buying a new set of studio monitors. I'll mainly be doing music mixidowns, and a little film post work and some light mastering jobs. Heres the catch...I don't want to spend over $650.
I'm seriously considering the Tannoy System 600 monitors.
Has anyone heard these? Dones anyone have any suggestions for monitors that would be better?
-thanks

Buying new gear, Your suggestions ?

Hi Folks, my first post here :D

It's time to spend my hard-earned-money (about $4000) and buy some gear before we will start to record our album. Our music goes to nu-jazz/ worldmusic/ downtempo category (vocals, piano, saxophone/clarinet, acoustis bass, drums and some sampler stuff).

Now I have the following :
