Hi all

Next week I'll be recording a male amateur choir (48 guys) in my local church.
There''ll be no audience and we can probably track it a couple of times.
Mostly a mix between somewhat popular and religious songs

The choir will be on the altar of a (about) 800 seats church
standing in a semicircle / upside down U

The system I’ve been using for the last 3 years is a Toshiba laptop running Nuendo with a RME Hammerfall 8in/8out audio interface. (with a pci card to connect to laptop) and a Midiman 4x4 midi interface. I have had no problems with this system… But now I am upgrading to a new dualcore desktop PC.

At the recording studio at my church we have a Gefell MT71S run through a Great River ME-1NV. This combo has proven great for a couple of guys that we have used it for, but we tried it on a female singer last night and it just wasin't that great. Now we did try several distances and gain settings, but didin't get the results we wanted. So now I ask you guys and gals.

i was wondering if anyone could suggest a good sequencer/dr machine for recording on a DAW (non-computer based - i'm using a Roland VS model). i was thinking of staying in the $1000-new range.

Hey RO'ers, I was wondering on behalf of myself and some of the artists that I work with, on how we can go about submitting our music for consideration on opening shows for mainstream artists? Does anyone have any concrete suggestions that they would recommend?

Yeah, so i got a M-audio 61 and ive been doing a little midi- doodling, first with garritan personal orchestra,Drumkit from hell and some gm stuff. but i wanted hear other cool ideas as to others vst plugins, vstoptions, command keys - ... anything else i could function my midi board to do?

please share some cool info
