USB Mic and Soundcard recomendations for Voice Recording

We are going to be recording software tutorials and so it will be voice only. The problem is that the pc's being used to record are small form factor with limited ability to add a sound card. So this brings us to the question, for voice recording is the internal sound card good enough or would a external USB type sound card worth looking into? Our type internal sound cards are:

Hey everyone.

I have an E-MU 0404 USB interface. I just recently bought a R0DE nt1-a and Planet Waves gold-plated xlr-XLR cable. I plugged it all in, turned on the phantom power from the interface, and I get very very low signal, even when I turn up the level all the way for the mic's channel.

peavey pv14usb with Cubase le?

okay everyone i have been using a Lexicon lambda with Cubase le and it's been amazing so far. the thing is though that i want to be able to record more tracks at the same time. i was looking at getting a peavey pv 14usb but i dont know how many tracks you can record at the same time or if it would work with Cubase le. any help would be great. oh and my computer is an HP dv6244 laptop.

Help! External USB recorder/sound card needed

I really hope someone can help me with this problem, I feel like I’ve made some headway but I’m still slightly clueless! Apologies if this post is a bit long.

First off my system: I have a relatively new Compaq 1.6ghz laptop, 1GB mem, win xp sp2, with a crappy internal soundcard, no slot for a new internal one.

Using Roland R8 MKII with MOTU Midi Time Piece AV USB

am trying to utilize my Roland R8 MKII Human Rhythm Composer with my DAW and I have the MIDI out of it connected to my MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV USB. I am getting a constant fluttering red led whenever I have it inserted into the MTP. I tried moving it to various ports but still, the same problem.
