Tascam US-122L, problems with Cubase recording vocals
Hope you guys can help out:
Recording falsetto vocals
There has to be some trick to this I'm overlooking. I sing prog metal and although these days I'm heading deeper and tighter rather than higher and louder, I find that once I do scream it seems to get clipped during recording. And this is weird because if I'm blasting through the PA I can conjure things that are absolutely piercing.

Mic Recording/Vocals
Hey all.
When recording vocals with my RODE NT1A, is there any way that I can stop the echoing that I get without "padding" my room, etc.?
Thanks.

Recording guitar, vocals and harmonica
Last night had a friend come by who wanted to "record a song." Well as it turns out it was a 13 minute folky fingerstyle type song. He did a juicy good job, but I had some trouble. I'm used to laying one track down at a time, or multiple mics for something like drums.

double Micing rock vocals
Hi all! I've got some vocals to record tomorrow for my band, and I think I'm going to try setting up two mics, and send them each to their own track. Probably put up an MD421 and either an AT2020 or MXL 2001. These will each run into a Mackie VLZ for pre's, then an ART Pro VLA compressor. The mics would be set up as close as possible to each other, with a pop-filter in front of both.

Butterfly -first vocals
This song was wrote about a man and woman who's live's where change by a drunk driver. The couple is coming by the studio Sat. and don't have any knowledge of the song. Let me know what ya think. The acoustics are a little hollow but none the less. Can't seem to bring the vocals up anymore without modulation. Thanks for the listen and critique. Cool, Peace

Mixing vocals
Hey guys, I'm just looking for some advice and tips on mixing vocals... the vocals on my recordings always sound "out of place", I guess is the best way to describe it... they don't seem to blend well, and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Doubling vocals
How do "YOU" do this? When I try to double, it's real obvious it 2 takes. I'm not a great singer but competent enough to come close - they just don't merge...
Is most doubling just track "copy and delay"? How do you pan them?
How much value in 2 actual(as opposed to virtual ) tracks.
