That old radio/record/tape sounding effect on vocals

I was wondering if anybody knows any shortcuts on how to obtain that old record sounding vocal effect (kind of portishead sounding)? I have an eq setting on my Korg d3200 recording studio(i bought this for portable recordings), but I've already recorded this onto Pro Tools LE before I decided to change the recording. I was wondering if there is any eq tactics i can do post recording.

Guitar + Vocals with just 1 mic technique I like

So I was in a bit of a hurry and needed to get a quick demo of a song I had been working on. So I quickly set up my K2 and hit the record button. The song it self is supposed to be a kind of "ghost story" feel. Think Nick Drake and Iron And Wine kind of stuff. So I spent about 5 minutes looking for a decent mic placement. I came across one I truely found remarkable.

any good plugin that eliminates vocals from Song. or lower

hey guys is there any plugin that can remove vocals from the track or even lower them so that u can't hear them properly without destroying much of the sound. . i've tried couple of plugins like analogx and some more but they all just make sound flange and very reverby. .so any idea how to even get close to wht i wanna do...

thanks

removing vocals

opinions on mic for vocals

hey folks, I am starting a mobile recording company and need to get a bunch of good (not great) mics quickly. So, the first purchases are for close mic'ed choral groups. Close meaning about 6-8 feet. I'll need three of the same type mics for these first applications. Eventually, I will need a variety of mics for symphonic all the way to contemporary project sessions.
