1832FX Mixer Setup for Subwoofer(s)
I acquired a Behringer XENYX 1832FX mixer; all works fine. But, I can’t seem to discreetly hook up a sub-woofer to it.
This is probably a simple question but, getting it right has eluded me. I have read through the manual several times and, the langauge just makes my eyes glaze over. It seems geared more to “Recording” approaches than straight “Playback” and “Setup” techniques.

CAR WOOFER FOR THE STUDIO?
Whats up I was wondering if putting two enclosed 12" woofers made for car audio in the studio would work. Would it be effective?

Opinions on studio subwoofers
Hey everyone, I am new to the forum and am looking for some opinions on studio subs. I currently own a pair of KRK V6s and am very pleased with them. I recently decided that a sub would help me with monitoring. I am big into reggae, and the bass is a crucial part of the mix. I have a budget of around 300 to 500 dollars and am looking for a good powered sub.

Why should I not use a subwoofer?
So i'm in a smal project studio, and it probably goes without saying that it's not the most sonically balanced room in the world, but I am using HR824's and i just purchased the 1280 Mackie sub that goes with it. I love the sound of those monitors and the sub sounds great with them, but I have heard/read that I shouldn't mix with the sub on unless i'm mixing 5.1 (which I am not.)

Do you look at the woofer movement while mixing?
I read an article in Sound on Sound, where the writer recommends looking at how much the woofer moves in order to estimate the low bass which you would otherwise not hear. Here's what he says:
