I bought this unit on Dec 22,2001. It worked well for about 3 wks. Then I started getting "recorder busy" signals, had a hard time burning CDs. Now it is in the shop-possibly with a bad hard drive. Once I learned how to navigate the unit I really enjoyed it. The sound quality is great.

I just purchased a g4 mac 733, dp3, MOTU 2408 and a midisport 2X2 interface. I'm trying to sync dp up so with the AW4416. I have not been able to place the midisport into the freemidi configuration. Should i reinstall freemidi? the person who installed it for me has fastlane as the usb interface, but i cant add midisport.

Anybody tried one of these soundcards with the Digi 001? Looks good, but looks can be deceiving. :eek:

Holy crap! My NS-10's went for $470 via Ebay auction. Unbelievable.

Now I can get a shielded pair to have around the computer. I'm thinking Tannoy Reveals but have to take a listen to other monitors in that price range before making a final decision.

I've been working for a year now with NS-10s on one room and krk k-rok on another. The NS-10s have a small sub to help the bass. Althogh I like the krk's I keep coming back to the 10's and I'm always shocked at the difference - in comparison the 10's sound muffled but somehow they highlight problems that the krk's don't (levels, reverb lengths and low-mid junk).

Hey all, I just wanted to share with you that I found what is probably one of the last pairs of new NS10s.

The lil' fellas arrived today to join the pack of NS10s and spare tweeters and woofers here, ready to face a future of scarcity in these things.

I have Pro Tools MixPlus, NHT A-20 studio monitors, Alesis QS-7 synth, Unity DS-1 soft sample. I am very interested in a 88-key that has the most "realistic action" at the right price point. with a few nice sounds throw in to boot...but I don't really need them. It seems like the P80 fits all the parameters except. MIDI.

I posted this on R.A.P. too but got little response and I kind of have to make a decision quick. So I'm just starting up a tiny studio to do demos, learn, and record my band. I'm using a PC DAW with a Mackie 1604 on which I just fried channels 3 & 4. It would cost about $600 to fix.

I'm gathering on other posts that the newer Yamaha is a better machine. However, I'm trying to collect tools for outside clientele and need to make sure I so the right thing.
